Dr. Nirmalya Roy

Professor

Nirmalya Roy is currently a Professor in the Information Systems department at University of Maryland Baltimore County. He directs the Mobile, Pervasive and Sensor Computing (MPSC) Lab. Before joining UMBC, he was a Clinical Assistant Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Washington State University from January 2012 to June 2013. Prior to that, he worked as a Research Scientist at Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), Singapore from 2010 to 2011. He was  a postdoctoral fellow in Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at The University of Texas at Austin from 2008 to 2009. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2008 and 2004 respectively. He did his Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University, India in 2001.
